Executive Chair
Arlene Maidman has extensive experience sourcing, negotiating and closing commercial real estate transactions. She played an integral role in some of Townhouse Management Company’s largest transactions including The Chelsea, The Aurora, and 35-39 East 63rd Street. Ms. Maidman previously conducted acquisitions for Pine Equity N.Y. and directed residential sales for Global Equities.
Ms. Maidman received her B.S. in Psychology from Tufts University. She is on the Board of Directors of the United Jewish Appeal Federation, NEXT for Autism, and New York Junior Tennis & Learning.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mitchel A. Maidman is President and Chief Executive Officer of Townhouse Management Company and Managing Partner of Maidman and Mittelman, LLP.
In 2008, Mr. Maidman was a founder of Herald National Bank (NYSE AMEX: HNB) which was sold to Bank United (NYSE: BKU) on February 29, 2012. Mr. Maidman served on HNB’s Board of Directors, was Chairman of both its Credit and Corporate Governance/Nominating Committees and served on its Audit Committee.
Mr. Maidman is a former Chairman of the Audit Committee and former member of the Executive Committee of Board of Directors of the American Friends of Magen David Adom. He has also served as Chairman of the Men’s Division and a Member of the Board of Overseers of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Mr. Maidman was a Trustee of Community Synagogue (Port Washington, NY) from 2007-2011 and is a member of the Executive Committee of UJA Federation of New York’s Real Estate and Allied Trades Division.
Mr. Maidman was previously with the law firm of Dreyer and Traub, LLP where he practiced primarily in the areas of litigation and real estate. Mr. Maidman received his J.D. from Cardozo Law School (’88), his B.A. in Political Science from Bard College (’86) and was a special student at Yale Law School (’87-‘88). He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of the New York.
Executive Vice President
Harry Maidman is the Executive Vice President of Townhouse Management Company and a partner of Maidman and Mittleman LLP.
Mr. Maidman was previously with the law firm of Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft LLP, working in the fund finance group. Prior to joining Cadwalader, he was with Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP, where he specialized in real estate transactions.
Mr. Maidman received his B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
Chief Operating Officer
Michael Kalomiris is the Chief Operating Officer of Townhouse Management Company. Mr. Kalomiris is focused on sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities as well as the overall strategic direction of the company. He is responsible for oversight of the firm’s operations including asset management, development and property management.
Mr. Kalomiris has previous real estate experience as a principal investor and advisor covering multiple property types throughout the United States. He also has prior professional experience in finance, operations, and investment management and has held positions at various companies including Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Kalomiris received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary.
Director of Development
Paul Steenson is the Director of Development at Townhouse Management Company. Mr. Steenson has a professional career spanning almost 40 years, during which time he’s worked for multiple property owners and served in managerial positions at some of the largest construction companies in New York City. He has supervised over $500 million in annual contracts ranging in size from $5 million to $150 million while becoming recognized as a leader in the management of large residential construction projects.
Mr. Steenson has presided over development and construction for a wide range of properties including the Ace Hotel (NYC), Aspen Snowmass Resort Complex (Aspen, CO), Onyx Chelsea (NYC), Northside Piers (NYC), and High Line Building (NYC). He possesses extensive experience in site assessment, pre-construction planning, construction management, and cost analysis. Additionally, Mr. Steenson has been retained as an expert witness and consultant to both insurance companies and real estate owners/developers. Earlier in his career, he worked as a civil engineer for Greenman Pederson Engineers designing large civil projects on the Long Island shorefront and serving as resident engineer for sections of multiple highways throughout the New York area.
Chief Financial Officer
Amy Yue, Chief Financial Officer, joined Townhouse Management Company in 2006. Ms. Yue oversees the company’s financial reporting, accounting, treasury management, internal and external auditing, along with all tax-related matters. Her responsibilities include developing budgets, establishing and implementing internal controls and company accounting policies. She works closely with financial institutions and manages Human Resources for the company.
Ms. Yue is a licensed real estate broker and has over thirty years of financial management experience in private and non–profit organizations.
Legal Counsel
Eliezer Cohen, Legal Counsel, is responsible for oversight of all legal activities at Townhouse Management Company. This includes managing the legal aspects of the company’s acquisitions and dispositions, general corporate matters, and property management business. Mr. Cohen is also responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance at Townhouse and manages various functions pertaining to property management. He has over thirty years of experience in real estate law, property management, and working with NYC government agencies.
Mr. Cohen received his J.D. from Cardozo Law School and his B.B.A. in Accounting from Baruch College. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, New York Bar and New York County Lawyers’ Association. Mr. Cohen has served as an Adjunct Professor teaching business law at St. John’s University and Touro College. He has also been an Adjunct Professor in other specialties at CUNY City College, Queens College and Yeshiva University. Mr. Cohen gives regular classes in Talmudic law in various venues.
